According to the United States Census Bureau Quartzsite is all land and has a total area of 36.3 sq mi (94.0 km 2). Quartzsite lies on the western portion of the La Posa Plain along Tyson Wash. The Dome Rock Mountains overlook the town on the west with Granite Mountain on the southwest edge of the town and Oldman Mountain on the northwest.

La Paz Valley is a census-designated place (CDP) in La Paz County, Arizona, United States. Its population was 368 as of the 2020 census. The community is in western La Paz County and is bordered to the north by the town of Quartzsite. To the south it is bordered by Yuma County.
U.S. Route 60 (US 60) is an east–west United States Highway within Arizona. The highway runs for 369 miles (594 km) from a junction with Interstate 10 near Quartzsite to the New Mexico state line near Springerville. As it crosses the state, US 60 overlaps at various points: I-17, I-10, SR 77, SR 260, US 191, and US 180.
The northern portion of the mountains can be accessed from the west via Arizona State Route 95; from the east through the Colorado River Indian Reservation, and I 10. Quartzsite is in the east center of the range and provides numerous access points. Ehrenberg to the west provides access to areas of the western mountain flank.
