Companion Certs cannot be reissued (let's just accept this as fact). What you can do is cancel the ticket and use the canceled ticket #s to purchase new tickets within a year of travel of the original ticket. In my case, my ticket has $450 credit and my Wife's ticket has $99 + $33 in fees.

Question I should know on companion fare, but can't recall complete details right now: if, hypothetically, I booked a round trip itinerary with a companion fare, with me as a primary passenger, I flew but my companion missed the first leg, is their ticket for the return flight still valid?

They are saying the wallet funds I used as well as the Companion Fare will take up to 7 days to process. I had no idea. United, American, etc. Cancel a booking (including using credit) is instantaneous.
