Kauffman Kauffman racing a wingless sprint car in 1986. Keith Kauffman (born June 9, 1950) is a retired American race car driver. Over his career, he amassed 309 wins and 18 track championships. [1] He won the 1982 USAC "Gold Crown" Nazareth 100. His only Championship Car experience was the three dirt races of the 1982 Gold Crown season.
In October 2007, Kauffman purchased part ownership of Michael Waltrip Racing, a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team. [3] Kaufman also owns RK Motors, a car collection in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he resides; [4] he also competes in sports car racing events and has competed in the 2011 and 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 2012 and 2013 24 Hours of Daytona, and in the Rolex Sports Car Series.
