"Resistance" is a song by English rock band Muse, featured as the title track on their fifth studio album The Resistance. The Resistance is the fifth studio album by the English rock band Muse, released on 11 September 2009 through Warner Bros. Records and Muse's Helium-3 imprint. It was self-produced and recorded from September 2008 to May 2009 at Studio Bellini in Lake Como , Italy.
On 3 July 2009, Muse revealed, via their Twitter page, the track listing for The Resistance; the "Exogenesis" was shown to occupy the final three tracks of the album, with the three parts being dubbed "Overture", [7] "Cross-Pollination" [8] and "Redemption", [9] respectively. The song has been acclaimed by critics.
The song was released on 5 June 2000 on 7" vinyl – backed with a live version of "Sober" – double CD – backed with "Recess", a live acoustic version of "Falling Down", "Nishe" and a live acoustic version of "Hate This & I'll Love You" – and cassette – backed with "Recess".
