Gunsmoke is an American Western television series developed by Charles Marquis Warren and based on the radio program of the same name. [1] The series ran for 20 seasons, making it the longest-running Western in television history. The first episode aired in the United States on September 10, 1955, and the final episode aired on March 31, 1975.
The series consists of 14 half-hour episodes that aired on CBS Fridays, 8:00 to 8:30 p.m., from January 11, 1974, to July 19, 1974. Jeanette Nolan stars as Sally Fergus and Dack Rambo stars as Cyrus Pike in this Gunsmoke spin-off. [1] Guest stars include John McIntire, Tim McIntire, Jackie Coogan, and Kathleen Cody. [2]

He guest-starred in 10 episodes of Gunsmoke. In 1965, Evans guest-starred as Jake Burnett in the episode "Vendetta" of The Legend of Jesse James . Two years later, he appeared as Deedricks in the episode "Breakout" of Custer .
