The Harrison County Campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is also located in Gulfport. [47] Before Hurricane Katrina, William Carey University had a satellite campus in Gulfport. In 2009, the university moved to its new Tradition Campus, constructed off Mississippi Highway 67 in north Harrison County. [48]
