The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is an Indian national Parliamentary group in the country of India.It is the Bharatiya Janata Party-led alliance founded by the former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the former Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of India L. K. Advani in 1998.
NDA won the state elections of Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Uttarakhand & Manipur. NDA lost the state elections of Punjab. In June 2022 Shivsena leader Eknath Shinde along with rebel MLAs joined NDA and formed a government on 30 June 2022 with Shinde as Chief Minister of Maharashtra and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis as Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
