Temple Hoyne Buell (September 9, 1895 – January 5, 1990) was an American architect, real estate developer and entrepreneur namesake of the Buell Theatre in Denver Center Complex, Buell & Company, and the Temple Buell Foundation. [1] Buell was born to a prominent Chicago family and the great-grandson of Thomas Hoyne.
The historic district located along Illinois Route 146 and was added to the Register in 1976. The Buel House , a historic home built in 1840 and currently owned by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency , is included within the district.
Bushnell is located in northeastern McDonough County. Illinois state routes 9 and 41 pass through the city center as Cole Street. Route 9 goes west out of the city on Charles Street, leading 19 miles (31 km) to Blandinsville, while to the east it leads 27 miles (43 km) to Canton.

[3] U.S. Route 30 and U.S. Route 34 run east to west through the township. Yorkville covers much of the township.
