While Menards explicitly states the availability is not guaranteed, to me it is absurd you are even offered the option to purchase an item that is indicated in-stock then arrive and its not, either because someone purchased it in the interim or their electronic inventory is lagging and ineffectual.

Menards wins the lumber thing with the drive-in lumber yard, but Home Depot has the brand names and I like the aisle width and shelving. I never connected with Lowes. I go to Menards sometimes as it is closest to my office building, but if they were all lined up together I would choose Home Depot first every time.
