Govruud Huuchinhuu (Mongolian: Говрууд Хуучинхуу) was a dissident writer and human rights-activist from Inner Mongolia. In January 2011, Huuchinhuu disappeared after leaving a Tongliao hospital in Inner Mongolia. After 2 years of enforced disappearance by the Chinese government, she was placed under house arrest.

Hada was born into a Mongolian family on November 29, 1955. In early 1981, while at university he joined the Inner Mongolian student movement, which was campaigning to preserve Mongolian identity in Inner Mongolia under Chinese law. Hada obtained his master's degree in philosophy in 1983, and published articles on political theory in Mongolian.
He graduated from Inner Mongolia Normal University and obtained his bachelor's degree in history in 1982. He founded the Inner Mongolian League for the Defense of Human Rights in 1987, and opened a Mongolian studies bookstore in Hohhot in 1990. In 1991, he was arrested together with Huchuntegus and many of his friends by the Chinese government.
The situation of human rights in Central Asia varies little between the region's countries, but are often reported to be a cause of concern among many outsider observers, governmental and non-governmental. Some of the legacy of human rights in the region derives from its history as part of the Soviet Union.
Manjaagiin Ichinnorov (Mongolian: Манжаагийн Ичинноров; born 12 December 1970) is a Mongolian civil rights activist, born in the Khovd Province of Western Mongolia. She was awarded the Mahatma Gandhi Award "For Fighting against Social Injustices with Peaceful Means" in September 2007 by the India Mongolia Friendship Association.
