Installation video was not available for my car, but Bimmer-Tech prepared an instruction document for me quickly and sent it over before the product arrived. I started with the center dash, was a quick and easy plug and play installation after which I just gave a song a try. My Oh My! The sound just changed with one center dash set.
Hi-Tech in Santa Ana is the place that says they can do the job without replacing the quarter panel. I understand that Hi-Tech used to be Crevier's preferred body shop. And from what I've heard from sources I trust, the only reason Hi-Tech is not a "cerified" BMW center is that they didn't want to pay BMW the money they wanted for the ...

I am liking the slightly comfortable ride so far over the E90's over-boosted harsh ride (especially with run-flats). However I feel that the F30 steering can be made to feel better especially the on-center. I hope BMW can come up with a way to re-program the on-center feel and make it slightly more taut. That'll be perfect!
Call Patrik at Bimmer-Tech. He is in Poland but worth making the call. +48 (792) 111-152. Else email to their website. List car's Vin and the issues. He'll let you know what needs to happen. May just be that you need a configuration change to enable Nav. Worst case is that you need a new head unit. You can buy them used for around 500-600.
A universal puller works to pull off the center arm and driver's side mount from the splined shafts. Just leave the loosened nut partly threaded on the shaft to use as a center for the tapered point of the puller screw; hook the arms under the sides and tighten the center screw. It will pop free, then you can remove the nut the rest of the way.
The E60 had a slot that one could open which was an HVAC vent. This would cool the center console when the AC was on and was useful for keeping your phone cool especially when charging in the cradle. Not sure why BMW removed it from the F10. I certainly wouldn't call it a beverage cooler.
There is definitely a front center jack point. It's a rectangular metal pad with three holes located between the front wheels, in the middle of the plastic belly pan. I've jacked the front using it many times with no problems. It's the only practical way to get jack stands under the corner jack points.
