Honestly quite a bit disappointing. When I got it, it smelled nothing like the notes that are listed, it just smelled like grandma lotion. It literally smells the exact same as the lotion my grandma uses, and when I wear a fragrance I want to smell unique, I don't want to smell like something that gets used below the waist too much.
Sounds like it's just me but the drydown of this on my skin smells exactly like TF Soleil blanc edp. Not the opening, but once it dries down which happens in like less than 5 mins. I already have Soleil blanc and was looking for something more skin like and clean scent like another 13..so will skip this one.
Turberose candy. She would say "Ohh, Darling~" condescendingly, while fluttering her eyelashes. And suddenly, just like that, I'm in yet another toxic sapphic relationship. Low-key poisonously sweet, aggressively sensual, authoritative. It's what I imagined Hypnotic Poison would be, I think, I don't know. I feel so. At least based of the name.
I keep coming back to this fragrance and I tried today and is nothing special. I like it better now but still smells very synthetic to me. I also own Lacoste blanc, (which I think is the best of all Lacoste fragances) and I really like it and get complimented on how good it smell all the time. Magnetic is probably the worst one of the L12.12.
I like LDBS but there's just something in this I'm not cool with some days. Maybe the pink pepper, coriander, and civet notes. Sharp and too rich on hot days, but better in cooler weather. Scent lasts on shirt, so this somehow justifies the price. The red orange liquid leaves a mark on white/light colored clothes, but still removable when ...
However to me it just smells like a seasonal Bath and Body Works hand soap which I don’t hate but isn’t something I necessarily want to smell like all over. For a green apple scent I much prefer the Clean Reserve Apple Blossom which is a more straight forward apple scent.
Scent-Dry Down: 8/10 I love the drydown a little bit more as the juiciness went to the background, left with something just like the drydown in Hugo Boss The Scent Private Accord. Fruity and Woody, not Juicy as the initial sprays.
Something just screams that it's artificial. After some time this arificial glaze wears off a bit and it becomes better. Though it's a fairly linear scent. I don't see it as "woody, warm spicy" etc. which is listed here. It's just fruity. And this is what probably dissatisfies most people here. It's just like some Avon with a good twist.
If you like the sweetness of Good Girl but want something less complicated and more budget friendly this scent would be a good fit. jeannebelmondo 05/11/21 14:16 I don't understand why this smells so cloyingly sweet and gourmand on me, but it does.
I do agree that objectively this a basic designer fruity floral, but the composition feels contemporary and not like a repackaged watered down version of something that was innovative 20 years ago. I would go as far to say that something about both the EDP and the EDT feels "niche" to me, just a little edgy.
