Triumph Studios is a Dutch video game developer based in Delft, founded in 1997.The studio is known for Age of Wonders, a strategy game series released starting in 1999, and the action-adventure games Overlord and Overlord 2, released in 2007 and 2009, respectively, using its in-house Creator engine for development.
Age of Wonders underwent a long production cycle, and was originally developed under the name World of Wonders. In 1997, the team scrapped its existing work and restarted development, which resulted in Age of Wonders. The game won positive reviews and was a moderate commercial success, with global sales of roughly 200,000 units by 2001.
At that time it was replaced by Adobe's newly launched consumer-oriented image editing software Photoshop Elements.
