Almaty Metro (Kazakh: Алматы метрополитені, Almaty Metropolitenı; Russian: Алматинский метрополитен) is a rapid transit/metro system in Almaty, the largest city and a former capital of Kazakhstan. The first line of the system was opened on 1 December 2011, after more than 23 years of construction.
Almaly (Kazakh: Алмалы, Almaly) is a station on Line 1 of the Almaty Metro. The station opened on December 1, 2011. [1] On August 10, 2010, construction workers at Almaly station went on strike after the construction company had failed to pay the workers' wages for three months. [2]

The First Line (Kazakh: Бірінші бағыт, Birinshi baǵyt; Russian: Первая линия) is the first line opened of the Almaty Metro in Almaty, Kazakhstan.The first stretch with seven stations, between Raiymbek batyr and Alatau, and with a train yard at the Raiymbek batyr, was opened on 1 December 2011. [1]
Alatau (Kazakh: Алатау, Alatau) [1] is a metro station located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The station opened on December 1, 2011, and is on Line 1 of the Almaty Metro rapid transit system. [2] The walls are made from green and white marble and the floors are grey granite.
Bauyrjan Momyshuly (Kazakh: Бауыржан Момышұлы) is a Line 1 station of Almaty Metro that opened to the public on 30 May 2022. It was originally planned to be opened in 2018; however, the completion date was moved to 2022.
