Sohrab Pirojsha Godrej (3 June 1912 – 22 May 2000), popularly known as Soli, was an Indian businessperson, entrepreneur and the chairman of Godrej Group, [1] one of the largest conglomerates in India with interests in real estate, consumer products, industrial engineering, appliances, furniture, security and agricultural products.

Pirojsha was the son of Burjorji Godrej and a member of the Parsi community. He was born into a wealthy Parsi-Zoroastrian family of Bombay (now Mumbai), called Gootherajee. Burjorji later changed the family name to Godrej in January 1871. Working with his elder brother Ardeshir Godrej, Pirojsha made Godrej a household name in India. [2]
