This page describes the process for deleting images hosted on the English Wikipedia – for deletion of images hosted at Wikimedia Commons, see Commons:Deletion policy. If an image is available on both projects, and it is deleted here, it's a good idea to also bring it up for deletion on Commons.
If an article is nominated for deletion because the quality of its contents are not up to par (such as lacks references and depth), you can save a copy to your user space before the article is deleted. Once you have fixed the article and it no longer violates Wikipedia policy, it can be moved back to article space.
If the article was deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, you should read the full deletion discussion before re-creating. Articles that are re-created without any substantial changes can be re-deleted immediately (see CSD G4). This applies regardless of whether you wrote the original article.
Through the AfD process, almost 500,000 articles have been deleted between 2001 and 2021. In 2021, about 20,000 articles were nominated. About 60% of articles nominated for deletion are deleted, about 25% are kept, and the remainder are merged with another article, redirected to another article, or met with another fate. [20]

To undelete all revisions, simply press the Restore button.
A small note of explanation is OK, but please do not sign it – this isn't a talk page. This is for articles or redirects that really existed on Wikipedia which have been deleted – provide proof of the deletion if you can, generally in the form of an XFD discussion page (AFD debates can be quite humorous themselves) or deletion log entry (for articles deleted before December 2004; see also ...
On Wikipedia, many pages are deleted each day through the processes outlined below. Deletion of a Wikipedia article removes the current version and all previous versions from public view. Page blanking can be performed (or reverted) by any user, but only administrators can perform deletion, [1] view deleted pages, and reverse ("undelete") any ...
There are three preferable ways in which articles can become deleted. Speedy deletion: articles that don't meet certain minimum standards may be deleted by Wikipedia administrators without further debate. Proposed deletion: for articles whose deletion is uncontroversial. Articles proposed for deletion are deleted in seven days if no one objects.
