The Snowdon Race (Welsh: Ras Yr Wyddfa) is a ten-mile endurance running competition in Gwynedd, from Llanberis to the peak of Snowdon.Contestants must make the five miles up the Llanberis Path to the summit (1,085 metres or 3,560 feet above sea level) and return down.
The Paddy Buckley Round, also known as the Welsh Classical Round, [1] is a long distance fell running challenge in Snowdonia, Wales. The route is a circuit of just over 100 km long, taking in some 47 summits. The Round has the reputation of being somewhat tougher to complete than its English Lake District equivalent, the Bob Graham Round.
The 32 km route is also known as the Snowdonia Summits Marathon as competitors have to reach the top of all the 1000 metre peaks in Wales. Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) from Crib Goch, Snowdonia. The Welsh 3000s are the 15 Welsh Munros.These are mountains in Wales that are over 3,000 feet (914.4 m). Geographically they fall within three ranges (the Snowdon Massif, the Glyderau, and the Carneddau), but close enough to make it possible to reach all 15 summits within 24 hours, a challenge known as the Welsh 3000s challenge.
