The Palazzo Barberini (English: Barberini Palace) is a 17th-century palace in Rome, facing the Piazza Barberini in Rione Trevi. Today, it houses the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica , the main national collection of older paintings in Rome.
Trevi is the 2nd rione of Rome, Italy, identified by the initials R. II, located in Municipio I.The origin of its name is not clear, but the most accepted theory is that it comes from the Latin trivium (meaning 'three streets'), because there were three streets all leading to the current Piazza dei Crociferi, a square next to the modern Trevi square.
Piazza Barberini in 2011. In 1935 the Istituto Nazionale delle Assicurazioni (INA) bought the complex bounded by Piazza Barberini, Via Vittorio Veneto, Via dei Cappuccini (formerly Via Ferrea) and Via della Purificazione; but then had to fend off a purchase by the Giornale d’Italia, backed by the minister for the Press and Propaganda.
The sculptural portrayal of a laywoman and the support of the cardinal's ecclesiastical coat of arms by the sculptures of two barechested women make the church unique among churches in Rome. Until the 1820s, Santi Vincenzo e Anastasio a Trevi was known as the "Pontifical Parish" ( Parrocchia Pontificia ). [ 9 ]

The statue is located right in the center of Via De' Crocicchi, Via Poli and Via Delle Muratte. [18]

Since the Middle Ages the piazza was in such a state of abandonment to be also called "colle caprino" (goat hill), as it was used for grazing goats after the ...
This is a very detailed rectilinear-stitched mosaic image of the Trevi Fountain in Rome. It is derived from 25 individual frames. I needed to use this many due to the extreme nature of the rectilinear stitching (the edges are very stretched/distorted, but due to downsampling of the image from 15000x10000 to 3500x2300, softness is not as visible).
