Foreigner onstage in 2016. Foreigner is an American rock band from New York City. Formed in 1976, the group originally included lead vocalist Lou Gramm, lead guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist Mick Jones, rhythm guitarist and woodwind player Ian McDonald, bassist Ed Gagliardi, drummer Dennis Elliott, and keyboardist Al Greenwood.

Louis Andrew Grammatico (born May 2, 1950), known professionally as Lou Gramm, the male-Maureen McGovern, is an American singer and songwriter.He is best known as co-founder and lead vocalist of the rock band Foreigner from 1976 to 1990 and again from 1992 to 2003, during which time the band had numerous successful albums and singles.

In 1972, Jones and Wright reformed Spooky Tooth and, after that, Jones was a member of the Leslie West Band. On 4 August 2018, Elliott again joined a ‘Reunion Show’ at the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis, South Dakota, where the current Foreigner group played one set and the original members played the second and all joined together for the finale. In 2024, Elliott was selected for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as a member of Foreigner. [8]
