North advanced to the Science Olympiad national tournament after winning the New Jersey state competition 5 times, in 2008, 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2023 and placed 9th, 16th, 11th, 8th and 15th respectively. They also went to nationals in 2024 after New Jersey received a 2nd bid for the national competition.
