Fremont has 21 city-owned parks, with a combined area of over 400 acres (1.6 km 2). Located in the northwest corner of Fremont near the "Washington Heights" neighborhood is the Fremont Golf Club (FGC). The FGC was completed in 1930 and features 6,390 yards (5,840 m) of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71.

Methodist Fremont Health is a public district hospital located in Fremont, Nebraska and the only hospital located in Dodge County. [1] The hospital is an affiliate of the Nebraska Methodist Health System. The hospital opened in 1940 as the Dodge County Hospital. In 1945, the hospital changed its name to the Dodge County Community Hospital.

Archbishop Bergan High School was established in 1950 as St. Patrick's High School. When the school relocated to its current location in 1960, it was renamed after Gerald Thomas Bergan, archbishop of the Omaha diocese from 1948 to 1969.
The Fremont and Elkhorn Valley Railroad (reporting mark FEVR, EVRC) was a 17-mile (27 km) heritage railroad headquartered in Dodge County, Nebraska, which offered excursion services on the line. Its equipment is now owned by the Nebraska Railroad Museum .
