Our warehouse has the ability to special order the part from a Ford Vintage OEM Source. The vintage source requires a $10.00 special order handling fee in order for us to obtain the part. 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel - EGR Valve/Ford Parts Giant - I have the California Clean Truck test coming up in 2025. I have never cleaned the EGR valve and would like to have a valve on hand when I do pull the existing one. Found one on Ford Parts Giant for a good price. FPG is supposed to sell only true Ford parts.
Option 1: Visit your local dealer's service department to confirm the defect in a written diagnostic report. Please send the diagnostic report to rma@fordpartsgiant.com. Then we will issue an RMA to return the item for replacement.
This site claims (anyway) that they are selling genuine Motorcraft OEM parts, but the sensor they need is significantly cheaper than buying directly from Ford Parts. I don’t think ford parts giant is a scam business. As above they have great website info, and some harder to find parts. Anyway, imho - $65 isn’t worth the hassle of it all. That said, I also remember who not to deal with in the future when I’m not happy with the service/product. Good luck with it.
Just checked out Ford Parts Giant, same stuff. Description is poor and I am unsure that I will be ordering the correct part. It is kind of disappointing that in 2018 Ford would have a better way to search and buy parts. I do a fair amount of work on motorcycles and buying parts is easy, fast and precise. I just figured this would be the same.
On the topic of expertise the better more experienced parts guys/girls will be aware of improved or better suited parts for most applications---FPG either has something in stock or they don't, if the part has been superseded or become obsolete that's indicated but little else info provided. That's just my $0.02 worth to FWIW.
