    INMATE VISITATION: Visitation is no longer at the Detention Center; it is now Video Visitation, which can be set up remotely to visit from home or the option to video visit at the Lake County Detention Center Visitation Center. The address is 28129 County Road 561 Tavares, FL 32778.

    INTRODUCTION. You are now in the custody of the Lake County Detention Center, Tavares, Florida. This booklet will serve to inform you of the rules and regulations as set forth by this facility. You are advised to read, understand, and follow these instructions.

    On a daily basis, we transport inmates to and from the county jail for court. The Courthouse has 38 holding cells with a capacity of approximately 315 inmates on a temporary basis for court proceedings.
