I'm currently scouring a few old threads looking for a consensus answer on the best YT downloader, and I've noticed that this dude has the same amount of upvotes on this exact comment in multiple months old threads (all comments were posted on the same day, 9-10 months after the original post and are all somehow near or at the top).

There's a web browser (like google) app called Brave, and it has cool features like built in adblockers and VPNs, but on iPhone, by pressing the 3 dots in the corner and tapping "Add to Playlist", you can add your videos to a playlist where you can then hold the video and click "Save for Offline Cache" Afaik, you can only use the playlist on iPhone.
It depends, but here are my go tos: youtube-dl - It is a python program that can download videos from over 400 different sites. If youtube-dl fails, then i open up the firefox network tool (Ctrl+Shift+Q) and reload the page with the video on and see if it shows up there. Then if it does, I use either curl, wget or axel to grab it.

I use 4K Downloader and it works really well. Really handy if you want to download a whole bunch of vids in one go as well as it can download in bulk. As far as I can tell it's a completely legit program. I've even bought a license for it so I can use it without restrictions.
If ClipGrab isn't cutting it anymore, check out VideoDuke. It's easy to use and awesome for downloading videos from anywhere online. Additionally, you can try Internet Download Manager (IDM) or 4K Video Downloader provides straightforward solutions without the complexity of yt-dlp. Great for office stuff!
