Liquid Blue is an American indie pop rock band/cover band formed in San Diego, California, in 1996 by Scott Stephens and Michael Vangerov.The group has performed in more than 500 cities in 100 countries on six continents and have been recognized as "the world's most traveled band".
Among the house bands that played at the San Diego venue was The Roosters who were formed around 1965. The group's leader was multi-instrumentalist Richard "Dick" Purchase. He played bass, guitar, and keyboards. He was also an accomplished trumpet player. The rest of the band members were guitarists Joe Gonzalez and Bobby Hijer.
The group was established in 2003 in San Diego, California, by dancers Kevin "KB" Brewer and Joe Larot. [1] [2] They participated in dance competitions with the idea of striking a balance between dancing to the music, and dancing as an artistic expression.
On February 24, 2023, they released the single "Only Wanna Dance" after finishing their North American tour. [12] In the summer of 2024, Almost Monday opened for AJR on AJR's tour in support of their 2023 album The Maybe Man.
