Freedom Transit is the operator of mass transportation in the borough of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Service began on June 29, 2009, with free rides for the first week of service. [ 1 ] The York Adams Transportation Authority voted to discontinue service as of December 30, 2013, for Lincoln, Blue, Grey and Gold Line.

The Keystone Corridor is a 349-mile (562 km) railroad corridor between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that consists of two rail lines: Amtrak and SEPTA's Philadelphia-to-Harrisburg main line, which hosts SEPTA's Paoli/Thorndale Line commuter rail service, and Amtrak's Keystone Service and Pennsylvanian inter-city trains; and the Norfolk Southern Pittsburgh Line.
The Keystone Service is a 195 mile (314 km) regional passenger train service from Amtrak, that operates between the Harrisburg Transportation Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, running along the Philadelphia to Harrisburg Main Line (known as the Keystone Corridor).
The Reading Company filed for bankruptcy in 1971 and the railway line was owned by Conrail in 1976 from April 1-October. [22] The line was purchased by the Blairsville & Indiana Railroad which changed its name to [23] Gettysburg Railroad (1976–1996) and used the line for freight and, under its Gettysburg Passenger Services subsidiary, tourist excursions.
The section of the route between Mount Holly Springs and Carlisle became a turnpike called the Hanover and Carlisle Turnpike in 1812, which connected Carlisle to Hanover and served as a trade link between the Cumberland Valley and Baltimore. PA 34 was designated in 1928 to run from US 15 (now US 15 Bus.) in Gettysburg north to US 11 in Carlisle.
