Cho Sung-min (Korean: 조성민; April 5, 1973 – January 6, 2013) was a South Korean professional baseball player with the Yomiuri Giants of Japan and the Hanwha Eagles of the KBO League. He also received media attention for his much-publicized marriage and divorce from actress Choi Jin-sil.
Traditionally, South Korean professional baseball games have a maximum number of extra innings before a game is declared an official tie. The KBO abolished this limit for the 2008 season, but it was reinstated in 2009, with a 12-inning limit imposed during the regular season, [ 5 ] and a 15-inning limit for playoff games.
Choi Retired in 1990 and then dabbled in politics. The following year, he left Korea to study baseball in New York, did some baseball broadcasting work and acted after he came back to Korea 2 years later.
