Springlake is a town in Lamb County, Texas, United States. The population was 145 at the 2020 census . The community is known for its agricultural processing and its yearly Independence Day parade and celebration culminating in a fireworks display headed by the Springlake Volunteer Fire Department.
At the center of the city is the intersection of Texas State Highways 16 and 97. Highway 16 leads north to San Antonio and south 165 miles (266 km) to Zapata near the Mexican border. Highway 97 leads northeast 4 miles (6 km) to Pleasanton and 28 miles (45 km) to Floresville , and southwest 67 miles (108 km) to Cotulla .
Boyd's High School football team, the Boyd Yellowjackets, are the 1983 AA & 2004 Division I—AA State Champions. The Yellowjackets were also 1999 AA Division I State Finalists. The Lady Jacket basketball team went to the AA State Finals in 1980 and 2001. The Boys Cross Country team went to the AAA State meet in 2014-15.
