Departments of Ivory Coast (French: départements de Côte d'Ivoire) are currently the third-level administrative subdivision of the country. Each of the 31 second-level regions of Ivory Coast is divided into two or more departments.
Independent Ivory Coast was first divided into administrative subdivisions in 1961, when four departments were created. [1] In 1963, two additional departments were created, and in 1969, the six departments were reorganised into 24. Yamoussoukro Department was established in 1988 as first-level subdivision by dividing Bouaké Department. [4] In 1997, regions were introduced as new first-level subdivisions of Ivory Coast; as a result, all departments were converted into second-level subdivisions. Yamoussoukro Department was included in Lacs Region.

Poro Region is one of the 31 regions of Ivory Coast. Since its establishment in 2011, it has been one of three regions in Savanes District. The seat of the region is Korhogo and the region's population in the 2021 census was 1,040,461. [3] Poro is currently divided into four departments: Dikodougou, Korhogo, M'Bengué, and Sinématiali.
