Herald Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada. It is on the north shore of the Salmon Arm of Shuswap Lake, in the Southern Interior of British Columbia, Canada. The park is some 30 minutes northeast of the city of Salmon Arm (by road). Herald Park contains a popular camping area, as well as a day use/picnic area.
The park is about 45 minutes north (by road) of Salmon Arm, and about 1 hour east of Kamloops. The park contains a large campground with approximately 275 camping sites, as well as a large sand and gravel beach and day use/picnic area. It is a very popular park, with many thousands of people, primarily from BC and Alberta, camping there every year.
Shuswap Lake consists of four arms, forming a shape reminiscent of the letter H. The four arms are called Salmon Arm (southwest), Shuswap Arm (west), Anstey Arm (northeast), and Seymour Arm (north). Shuswap Lake connects to Little Shuswap Lake via the Little River, which flows from the end of Shuswap Lake.
