Hari Pahlawan (Indonesian for Heroes' Day) is a national day annually celebrated on 10 November in Indonesia. [9] The day commemorates the 1945 Battle of Surabaya , [ 10 ] in which pro-independence Indonesian local community, as well as soldiers and militia fought against British and Dutch troops as part of the Indonesian National Revolution .
