Murphy Park named after William John Murphy the founder of Glendale. The town clock (pictured) was dedicated in 1987 to the memory of Thelma Renick Heatwole (1912–1991), who covered life in the Glendale community for more than 40 years as a newspaper reporter. The park is located at 58th & Glendale Avenues and has a public library.

Manistee County (/ m æ n ɪ s t i / man-iss-TEE) is a county located in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the population was 25,032. [2] The county seat is Manistee. [3] The county is named for the Manistee River. Manistee County is part of Northern Michigan and has a shoreline on Lake Michigan.
Stronach is in southwestern Manistee County, in the western part of Stronach Township. The Little Manistee River runs along the southern edge of the community and flows into Manistee Lake, which is on the western edge of the community.
