The Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, hosted in Norfolk, Connecticut, is a summer music festival. Set among the Litchfield Hills of the lower Berkshires, the Festival traces its roots to the Battell family, who started hosting summer concerts on the Norfolk town green in the 1880s. Now under the auspices of the Yale University School of Music.
The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts (formerly known as Bushnell Memorial Hall or simply The Bushnell / ˈ b ʊ ʃ n əl /) is a performing arts venue at 166 Capitol Street in Hartford, Connecticut. Managed by a non-profit organization, it is marketed as Connecticut's premier presenter of the performing arts.

The Oakdale became a regular concert venue when many acts also played the Westbury Music Fair. Act included: Tom Jones, Paul Anka, Led Zeppelin, The Who and The Doors. [3] In 1972, a wooden dome was erected to replace the tent and the capacity doubled to 3,200. [2] The 70s drew in more concerts, as well as boxing and other sporting events.

The New Haven Symphony Orchestra gave its first concert on January 25, 1894 and is the fourth oldest orchestra in the United States. [1] Today, the orchestra is made up of over 65 professionals, many of whom live and work in the Greater New Haven area. The NHSO is currently directed by Music Director Alasdair Neale.
