Gohan then decides to adopt the boy as his own grandson, and gives him a new name – Goku. During the ending credits, Goku's battles against the Red Ribbon Army, Tien Shinhan, King Piccolo, Piccolo, Nappa and Vegeta are shown, culminating with an image of Goku about to battle Frieza, with the spirits of Bardock and his team watching.
Goku later names his first son Gohan in his grandfather's honor. In the anime, he later appears as an assistant to Annin (アンニン), the ruler of the "magical furnace". Dragon Ball: Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!! [a] is a 35-minute Japanese animated short film based on Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball series, shown on the Jump Super Anime Tour from September 21 to November 23, 2008. It was the first animated Dragon Ball film in twelve years, following the tenth anniversary film The Path to Power.
The journey leads Goku to meeting Master Roshi and a confrontation with the shape-shifting pig Oolong, as well as a desert bandit named Yamcha and his companion Pu'ar, and the Ox-King, who all later become allies; Chi-Chi, whom Goku unknowingly agrees to marry; and Emperor Pilaf, a blue-skinned imp who seeks the Dragon Balls to fulfill his ...
