CentralPlaza Khon Kaen is a shopping mall in Khon Kaen, Thailand. The mall opened on December 3, 2009. It is the first shopping mall of Central Group in Isan of Thailand. Thailand's second largest retail corporation in the northeastern region of Thailand, the largest department store in the northeastern region is The Mall Nakhon Ratchasima.
The Mall Group (Thai: เดอะมอลล์กรุ๊ป) is one of Thailand’s largest retail conglomerates, known for its portfolio of shopping malls and department stores. [2] Its brands include the Mall, Emporium , EmQuartier , Emsphere , Siam Paragon , Gourmet Market, and others.
As of year-end 2014 operated 39 stores in Thailand and two in Vietnam totaling over 450,000 m 2 of retail space. [1] A total of 48 branches were scheduled by the end of 2018: 11 branches in Bangkok Metropolitan Region and 37 branches in other provinces, together with 2 branches in Vietnam.
Save One Rangsit was rebranded as the Big C Supercenter in 1995, and was the chain's first store outside Bangkok. The same year, Central Superstore Company Limited changed its name to Big C Supercenter Public Company Limited, and was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) (SET: BIGC) with S.K. Garment PLC holding a majority stake.
