This is a list of British game shows. A game show is a type of radio, television, or internet programming genre in which contestants, television personalities or celebrities , sometimes as part of a team, play a game which involves answering questions or solving puzzles usually for money and/or prizes.
The money is placed on the Circle and begins to orbit the player. Three spots are marked as tunnels, which can randomly allow the money to pass through or reverse its direction; these tunnels are located directly behind the player and to his/her left and right. A buzzer known as the Bang Button is on a pedestal before the player.
On each episode, six contestants compete for a chance to win up to £100,000. They sit in a line of six chairs; the one at the front of the line is coloured gold and designated as the "Money Chair," while the one at the rear is coloured red. All questions asked during the game have four answer options, one of which is correct.
