Conrad is a city in Grundy County, Iowa, United States. The population was 1,093 at the 2020 census. [2] It is part of the Waterloo–Cedar Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. Conrad holds the honor of being known as the "Black Dirt Capital of the World." [3]
The Grundy County Courthouse, located in Grundy Center, Iowa, United States, was built in 1891. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981 as a part of the County Courthouses in Iowa Thematic Resource. [1] The courthouse is the second structure to house court functions and county administration.
