Chalfont St Peter is a large village and civil parish in southeastern Buckinghamshire, England. It is in a group of villages called The Chalfonts which also includes Chalfont St Giles and Little Chalfont. The villages lie between High Wycombe and Rickmansworth. Chalfont St Peter is one of the largest villages, with nearly 13,000 residents.
In 1962 Chalfont St Peter joined the Spartan League. When it merged with the Metropolitan–London League to form the London Spartan League in 1975, the club were placed in to Division Two. The historic buildings on the Chiltern Open Air Museum site mean that it often used as a filming location for television and film period dramas, and the Museum is located 8 miles (13 km) from Pinewood Studios and 16 miles (26 km) from Leavesden Studios.
John Laurie, one of the main actors, lived in Chalfont St Peter. The Miller's Tale episode of the BBC Television drama The Canterbury Tales was filmed in and around Chalfont St Giles [23] as was an episode of the BBC Television sitcom As Time Goes By. It was the location for the filming of Episode 6 of Series 3 of Peep Show. [24]

There were no motorways in Chiltern District, except for a very short section of the M25 in the south-eastern corner near Chalfont St Peter. The major roads through the district were the A413 , running north-west towards Aylesbury , and the A404 , running west towards High Wycombe ; both roads meet in Amersham.
