Murfreesboro High School is an accredited public high school serving students in grades seven through twelve in the rural community of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, United States. It is one of three public high schools in Pike County. With more than 200 students, it is the sole high school of the South Pike County School District.
It is in the South Pike County School District. [4] [5] It was previously in the Delight School District. [6] On July 1, 2010, the Delight district merged with the Murfreesboro district to form the South Pike County School District. [7] Before World War 2, Billstown supported a small elementary school at the Billstown Cemetery.

It was previously a part of the Delight School District, which operated Delight Elementary and Delight High School. On July 1, 2010, the Delight district merged with the Murfreesboro School District to form the South Pike County School District. [5] The Delight High School mascot was a bulldog and colors are blue and gold.
However, in 1931 a law was passed stating that in order for a school district to consolidate, the voters in each district must approve. [5] In the 1932–1933 school year, Arkansas had 3,086 school districts, with 1,990 of them each operating a school for white students that only employed a single teacher.
