The community is part of the St. Joseph, MO–KS Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 248 at the 2020 census. Faucett derives its name from Robert Faucett, who was a local miller when the Chicago Great Western Railroad established the community in 1890. [4] A post office called Faucett has been in operation since 1891. [5]
