Lynne McGranger (born 29 January 1953) is an Australian actress, who rose to prominence for her portrayal as Irene Roberts on the Australian soap opera Home and Away for over 32 years. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] She joined the series in 1993, and is the longest serving female cast member of a television soap opera in Australia .
