Hoegaarden Brewery (/ ˈ h uː ɡ ɑːr d ən / HOO-gar-dən, Dutch: [ˈɦuɣaːrdə(n)] ⓘ) is a brewery in Hoegaarden, Belgium, and the producer of a witbier, which is different from a wheat beer. Hoegaarden de-emphasizes hops, and is unfiltered, giving it the hazy, or milky, appearance--which makes it a wit (white) beer.

Celis White is a beer brand.Pierre Celis (21 March 1925 – 9 April 2011) revived the Belgian style witbier in 1965 in Hoegaarden then moved to Austin, Texas in 1991 to start the Celis Brewery, where the witbier was being brewed amongst all his other beers like Grand cru Tripel, Pale Bock and raspberry.
The combined ABInBev/SAB Miller entity has approximately 400 beer brands as of January 2017. [2] [3] The original InBev global brands are Budweiser, Corona and Stella Artois. Its international brands are Beck's, Hoegaarden and Leffe. The rest are categorized as local brands. Many other brands were gained as a result of the merger with SABMiller.
The industry had withered to nothing by 1955, but Pierre Celis later re-launched the town's now iconic white beer which has since gone on to become a global brand. In December 2005, it was decided to close the Hoegaarden Brewery and move the production of the beers to the Jupille brewery in southern Belgium.

Celis Br. was sold 100% to Miller in 2000 and closed in 2001. Miller sold equipment and name to Michigan Br., who went bankrupt in 2011. Pierre Celis never worked for Michigan Br. Christine Celis started the new Celis Brewery in Austin in 2017 where all the original beers are being brewed. He died on April 9, 2011, at age 86 from cancer. [5]
