The Hong Kong Marathon (Chinese: 香港馬拉松), sponsored by Standard Chartered Bank, is an annual marathon race held in January or February in Hong Kong. In addition to the full marathon, a 10 km run and a half marathon are also held. Around 70,000 runners take part each year across all events.
In 1984, Swire Loxley had purchased Marathon Sports, a local Hong Kong sports store founded in the 1970s. [3] This chain was transferred to Swire Resources. Swire Resources began serving as the exclusive distributor of Columbia Sportswear in Hong Kong and Macau in 2002, and in Mainland China in 2004.
