North High School is proud to offer football. The Iowa High School Athletic Union sanctions our high school sports for boys. Our teams compete in the Missouri River Conference. Through involvement in athletics, students learn valuable life skills, including teamwork, leadership, and commitment.
North High School is the largest comprehensive high school in Sioux City. Our student population tops 1,600 students and is one of the most diverse populations in the state. Students in our halls speak fifteen different languages and are represented by more than ten Native American Tribes.

Sioux City, Iowa – Sioux City Community School District’s North High School held its homecoming coronation on Thursday, October 10. Paul Bouwers, son of Natasha Bouwers, and Aubrey Oropeza, daughter of Sarah and Amilcar Mejia, were named North High School’s king and queen.
