I'm not sure how it happened but my word online will only display Spanish. for the life of me I can't figure out how to get it back to English. to be clear my office home site is still in English so changing the setting from there is of no help.
Unfortunately, the online version of Word does not display all formatting properly. Switching to the reading view in Word Online should improve the situation, but the basic limitation remains: Word Online simply doesn't have the capabilities of the full, desktop version of Word that you can install on a PC or Mac.
Right now you folks can insert, have access to content controls in documents, you can also edit them in Word Online. (please note that this you can do programmatically not directly with Word Online in other words there is still no developer tab in Word Online)

Word Online does not come with all the features of the full version, but they are constantly improving the product, although it will take time. This is the way that I would do it, and I admit it is not perfect, but it works for me. If you can create a file in the full version of Word then save to OneDrive with your styles.
