Pitt County Courthouse is a historic courthouse building located at Greenville, Pitt County, North Carolina.It was designed and built in 1910 by the architectural firm of Milburn, Heister & Company, and is a three-story, rectangular, Classical Revival style tan brick building.

The racial makeup of the town was 30.7% White, 51.5% African American, 0.5% American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.4% Asian, 0.3% Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, 13.5% from some other race, and 3.1% from two or more races.

Grifton is located on the southern edge of Pitt County mostly on the northeastern side of Contentnea Creek, which forms the county line.A small portion of the town is on the southwestern side of the creek in Lenoir County.
