Menards pole barn kits. Thread starter pitt_md; Start date Aug 8, 2008 Aug 8, 2008 / Menards pole barn ...
I have a Menards pole barn. Built about 7 years ago. Has eves, wainscotting, sky lights, windows, roll up door, sliding end door and 2 walk in doors. No complaints. Most pole barn are very similar in steel. Some differences in use of laminated posts ect but most can be priced with nearly the same design materials.
Menards is always hard to beat. And I have never had an issue with quality of lumber. There is always pleanty of good stuff to select from, and the only time I have had them deliver was just a few months ago...material for a front 12x24 deck w/4x4 posts...back deck was 10x28 w/6x6 posts and elevated.
Looking to see if anyone has a set of plans and material list for an open style pole barn that I知 planning to build for keeping equipment out of the weather. I will eventually close it in, it for now will be open or only have the sides closed. Any of these sizes would work. 22x36,22x32, 22x34, 24x24, 24x30, 24x32x 26x26, 26x30, 26x32 or 30x30.
I'm in the process of deciding what I want for a garage/shop.. something on the order of a 30x40 building of some sort...either Pole or Stick built. Probably the final decider will be cost.. I'm planning on this being a 100% DIY project no matter which way I go... I've been googling for 2 days...

In my opinion pole barns are designed with speed of assembly as a top priority. You drill your holes one day, then add some concrete or precast footings. Drop the poles in, backfill, and you can build the rest of the building in a couple days. The height doesn't have to be perfect, you just cut the top of the pole where you need it.
I'm looking at putting up a 30x40x10 barn. I was wondering about how much each truss would weigh and how could they be put up without a FEL or fork lift. I'm looking at a menards building, are these worth there money? thanks mark
I have heard good and bad about Menards. I am looking for pole barn just a simple 30x40 10' with overhang one man door and overhead door. I live around the Willard area in Ohio. Who sells good lumber and can put the basic frame up without getting it out of whack before the steel goes on. Who...
There are several companies that supply the pole barn industry throughout the country and carry a precast 'cookie' just for this use. Secondly, if you go with the dry pre-mix, be sure to add water and mix it in the hole and let it set before placing the posts.
