Royal Oak Schools (formerly Royal Oak Neighborhood Schools) is a school district in Greater Detroit, Michigan. The district provides public school services for the municipality of Royal Oak and the easternmost portion of Berkley. [1] The district adopted the "Royal Oak Schools" branding in the early 2010s. Royal Oak High School is a 2006 consolidation of former intra-city rivals Royal Oak George A. Dondero High School and Royal Oak Clarence M. Kimball High School. Berkley High School has been accredited by the Michigan North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement since the 1928–29 school year.
