Hi, I am looking into getting adjustable dumbbells for home to supplement my regular training when I am not in the gym. So I have nothing at home, no weights, etc except pull up bar, bands, etc. I would love to have some dumbbells but since I don't have a home gym, it doesn't make sense for me to buy a whole set from 5-100lb, etc.
The best adjustable dumbbells are made by Ironmaster and Powerblock. Ironmaster dumbbells are more solid with a traditional dumbbell look and feel. The weight on Powerblock dumbbells can be adjusted more quickly, but you have to be careful about not dropping them. (You shouldn't drop your dumbbells anyway, IMO.)
If you are looking for adjustable dumbbells that can load a lot of weight, you may want to consider Olympic dumbbell handles that can fit Olympic plates: There are several out there that can fit 5 or more 10lb plates on each side (i.e. 100+ DBs).
What are some good quality cheap adjustable dummbells that go up to 40 kg (88 lbs)? I have been looking at Hurk adjustable dumbbells but I am not sure if they will be durable enough? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

For home use, there's a lot to be said about adjustable dumbbells - while expensive, by far the most recommended adjustable set on this forum is probably the ironmasters. They take a bit of time to change from weight to weight, but they have the potential to go quite heavy with add-on kits, and they're quite well made.
Adjustable Dumbbell Squats: 2 warm-up sets & 3 working sets One more workout and this will be my first complete week on Best Creatine for resistance training. Finished off the workout with two sets of 25 reps - hip bridges and two sets of 25 reps - bodyweight squats (bottom half).
OP, IronMaster or PowerBlock makes a great adjustable dumbbell set in varying weights. IronMaster also makes a bench that will incline, decline and go to 90 degrees. You can even get dip, chin, and various other attachments for it. PowerBlock also makes an adjustable bench as well as a fold away bench that can be stored under a bed or in a closet.
