NCR Country Club is a country club located in Dayton, Ohio where NCR Corporation used to be headquartered. There are two golf courses at the club, the North course and the South course. The 1969 PGA Championship was played on the South course and won by Raymond Floyd .
In the category of "Top 100 Courses in the U.S." it was selected 29th by Golf Magazine in 1995, 33rd in 1997, and 43rd in 1999. Golf Week rated it 38th among "America's 100 Best Classical Courses" for 1997, 45th in 1998, and 47th in 1999. Scioto is also ranked the 6th best course in Ohio by Golf Digest for 2005-2006.
In 2014, Golf Digest rated Muirfield Village as the number one golf course in Ohio, [11] and 53rd in the first-ever world's 100 greatest golf courses. [12] Golf Digest also ranked Muirfield Village 14th in the United States in 2018. [13] MVGC closed and underwent a large renovation after the 2020 Memorial Tournament.
Inverness was founded in 1903, when many of Toledo's wealthiest citizens purchased a parcel of land and built a nine-hole golf course. The course was eventually expanded to 18 holes. In 1916, the club hired Donald Ross to construct a championship-caliber golf course, which was finished by the end of 1918.
